Everything about this picture makes me happy. Today was tough, it almost seemed as though I was being tested and tried. I decided I would not let our whole day be ruined. It was purely a decision that could have made or broken our day today based on my attitude. And wouldn't you know it, it turned out to be a great day. I am So grateful for love and friendships I have here. Thank you!!
I kind of regret not taking any real pictures the morning Quinn left at the airport. This is all I have of the boys in the back saying bye to Daddy. But we accidentally slept in so we were rushed, but I think it ended up being a good thing. We couldn't drag out that terribly hard moment for too long. Plus it was 5:30 a.m. and really who thinks clearly that early? We miss Quinn. Like a lot... without getting too crazy mushy, I've realized how grateful I am to miss him so much!! We are so lucky and so very blessed! Quinn is going to be amazing, I am so proud of him and cannot wait for his graduation!!!
So after a fairly draining day today, I was back in my room and I hear what sounds like Quinn calling my name telling me too pick up my phone! I don't know how he did it but my ringer was his voice! So we got to chat for just a minute. Right now he's doing lots of paper work and standing. He starts the actual boot on Sunday. He said he's sleep deprived but really good. So He was my happy ending to my day, which is what I am normally used to.
My little Asa turned 3 on Saturday! We had such, a fun day with him, playing Spiderman, and watching old cartoon episodes of Spiderman. Our great friends the Thompsons came over to help celebrate with us ! We love you Asa!
In my house there is a lot of growling going on all day long. Whether it's a dog, dinosaur,or a lion my boys have mastered the growling technique. And today, I think Asa truly believed he was a real lion:) And it totally brightened my day.
As always, we had such a good time at the Haslems house. Seems like there is never a dull moment with them! Thank you Haslems for all you do for my family. We love you guys!
I wish my whole family could have been together, I miss and love you all
We have been sick at our house. So there has been a lot of nose cleaning, crying, movie watching, cuddling and sleeping. Being sick is the absolute pits, but we are on the healing end of it and are getting ready for a week of Thanksgiving and playing with some Rexburg folk, better known as the Haslems! We are so excited to see them!
On a more random note, I just looked over at Asa who is supposed to be napping, and watching his face expressions are cracking me up. I can tell that his little imagination is just running wild. I wonder what he's thinking about that is making him smile, almost laugh? I love his age, and I love his unique personality..LOVE my sweet Asa.
I really wish this tiny stage didn't go by so fast, but it does and I'm trying so hard to enjoy it while I can. Silas is now 6 weeks and and such a good, special baby. Quinn and I feel so blessed. We absolutely love you Silas!!
